Modern Farm Table
This is a custom piece brought to me by a couple looking to update their country kitchen table for their new loft apartment. After a few suggestions, they decided to keep the wooden table top, but wanted to stain it a dark, rich brown, complimenting it with a gray base and legs. I sanded off the existing lacquer and stain down to the bare wood allowing the darker stain to bring out beautiful variations in the grain that a lighter stain could not highlight. The table top was sealed for protection, and a semi-gloss finish adds the right amount of sheen to the piece.
